MA Scholarships in International Development Studies at Chulalongkorn University

Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand is offering scholarships for international students in Master of Arts in International Development Studies (MAIDS).
The Master of Arts in International Development Studies is one of the first in Southeast Asia to offer multidisciplinary training in international development.The curriculum integrates academic, technical, managerial, and professional training in the social sciences. The M.A. in International Development Studies program (MAIDS) offers excellent preparation for a career in public or private sector development, or further study at the doctorate level. The core and elective courses, taught in English, address a wide range of topics, including development theory and practice; globalization; research methods; politics of public policy; migration; human rights; environmental politics; conflict resolution; project management; and innovation for inclusive development. The thesis project allows each student to pursue their personal interests.

Scholarships are for partial funding. To increase your chances of receiving full funding, please note the suggestions on which scholarships to combine. When combining scholarships, you must be eligible and apply for each one separately.
Eligibility
M.A. Program (Research & Coursework Mode)
  •  Earn Bachelor’s Degree in any related fields
  • Interested in research in international development
  • Work experience in international development is an advantage
  • TOEFL iBT score of 78; IELTS score of 6.0; CU-TEP score of 75.
  • Other particular qualifications will be based on a specific announcement by the Graduate School in that particular academic year or has been approved from the Committee of MAIDS Program.
  • Please note that most scholarships will require an English Proficiency Exam result (IELTS, TOEFL, or CU-TEP). If you have been exempt from submitting such score in application to the MAIDS-GRID program, unfortunately that exemption does not guarantee eligibility for scholarship applications.
  • Please check individual scholarship requirements carefully – they recommend registering for an English Exam as soon as possible in order to ensure your eligibility to apply for funding.
